Abstract
Claude Code crossed $1B in annualized revenue in early 2026. Stripe, Deloitte, Netflix, and Goldman Sachs are among the disclosed enterprise deployments. Every engineering VP is evaluating it. But the published content on what enterprise Claude Code deployment actually involves is thin: press releases, Anthropic documentation focused on individual developer workflows, and occasional conference talks.
This whitepaper covers what the documentation does not: the organizational change management required to deploy agentic coding at scale, the cost model for 100+ engineer teams, the governance changes needed for AI-generated code in production, and the specific technical patterns — parallel subagent delegation, repository-wide context management, CI integration — that determine whether a deployment succeeds or quietly reverts to business as usual.
Tenten AI has deployed Claude Code in engineering organizations ranging from 15 to 300 engineers. The patterns here reflect what we have observed to work and what we have observed to fail.
